Legend tells us that the village of "Joyeuse" takes its name from the sword of the Emperor Charlemagne. He is said to have lost it in battle and to have promised whoever found it that the land around the battlefield would belong to him... Btw, so cool to see this one for the third time on the site, on three very different places ! Spotted on August, 4th.
